Playing an organ in Corona times

Disinfect the whole console including keyboards?
And this before and after work?

Does the wind-blower actually distribute the air and thus the possible viruses in the church?

These and many more questions have been brought up to us in the past few days. Since the first cases were already known where the keyboards had been attacked by aggressive disinfectants, the Association of German Organ Builders (BdO) has created a corresponding press release based on information from the Robert Koch Institute.

A cleaning and hygiene recommendation was also developed as a concrete recommendation for action.

Certainly it is hardly possible to leave a console sterile for your colleague after playing the organ. Perhaps you should therefore always be careful not to touch your face unnecessarily when serving at the console.

Stay healthy!
