— Reorganisation of the Wilbrand Organ (1998) —

Strong mold and the wish for major changes in the stop specification were the reason for the necessary renovation work. The Wilbrand organ dating from 1998 is technically well built and blends visually well into the greater picture.

Unfortunately, the organ case forms a thermal barrier between the cold spire behind the organ and the heated church space in front of the organ.

So the job was not done with a removal of the mold infestation alone. A building biologist was called in to investigate the dewup reactions in the organ case, which are responsible for the mold infestation.

Another weak point of the organ was the sequencer. This setter was a homemade device of the organ builder and unfortunately could not be extended. So we had to install a new sequencer for the desired trumpeteria and the other changes. This time coming from one of the leading suppliers.
