— Restoration of the Voltmann organ (1873) —

In the catholic church of St. Agatha in Wehlen there is a Voltmann organ dating from the year 1873. After the instrument was technically and accoustically altered in 1976 and 1989, we had been commissioned in March 2010 to restore this important instrument. The Great division is preserved without changes, only in the lower division and in the pedal section changes in the stop specification have been made. The main task of the restoration was to return to the original stop specification. Due to the generous commitment of the Jodocus Prüm Community Foundation, the parish was able to finance this project. On Sunday, October 2, 2011, it was consecrated as part of a holy mass at 2:00 pm and at 6:00 pm, the responsible organ expert Mr. Reinhold Schneck from Wittlich played the first organ concert.
