— New Organ for Aoyama Gakuin Junior Highschool —

The well-known Aoyama Gakuin Junior High School in Shibuya (Tokyo) needed a new chapel for their school complex. We were happy to have been awarded the contract to build the organ for this chapel.

The school is located in the east of the well-known district of Shibuya. Here a link to the homepage of the “Aoyama Gakuin Junior High School”.

The commercial center of Shibuya, with its many shops and offices, is located around Shibuya Station. In front of the train station is the statue of the “loyal dog” Hachikō, one of the most famous meeting places for dates all over Japan. Frequently, street concerts take place here, with which Japanese music labels, who have their corporate offices nearby, promote their artists.

Located on the west side of the station, the crossroads of Station Street and Center-gai is an all-walking intersection and is crossed by up to 15,000 people per traffic light phase at peak hours. Numerous videos on Youtube give a small impression of this intersection.

The organ itself has 26 stops spread over two manuals and pedal. The key action works mechanically and the stop action is electrically with the assistance of a computer aided stop control system.
